Man of SteelSO... I've seen the Man of Steel twice now, to help me decide what I really think about the movie. And I really like it.Man of Steel by AndrewKwan
As a kid, I was never really into Superman and never really got into the character until about a few years ago. I'm open to different takes on the character, some of the my favourite stories are ones that take a different perspective on the red and blue boy scout (All-Star, Secret Identity, Red Son, Earth One, etc). I recognize the iconic Superman character and the traditions he stands for, but I don't have any preconceived notions of what he should be, being a new origin movie (being a youngster and growing up with different interpretations).
I liked the darker tone and the grounded approach to it's characters. If anything, we've seen that Marvel owns the colourful, upbeat an humoring superhero movies and DC is successful with darker tones with Batman. (Look at what happened when Warner Bros tried to replicate the feeling of a Marvel film with Green Lantern).
